EDIT: so... it's been almost six months since I posted this, and every time I've looked at it, something about it has bugged me. I love the armor design, the overall character design really. but something about the face bugged me. the face shape mostly. so I've finally got around to making some minor edits I'm much more pleased now. the background still sucks though D:

So I recently discovered this band called Ensiferum. they're from Finland, and they play what's called "Folk Metal" or "Viking Metal". and my favorite song by them is what inspired this picture. it took me a week or two off and on to finish this. I'm not entirely satisfied with the background. because I don't do them very often, I'm not that good at them. haha. but I really thought this needed a background just to give it more character. and you should definitely listen to the song while your looking at this!
